29 Jan 11 - Hello! I'm starting this group as a central point for all things related to mourning in the Regency/Victorian/Edwardian era--especially mourning jewelry, which is my personal obsession. Please feel free to post either vintage photos of new photos of vintage items such as mourning brooches, surviving mourning dresses, particularly wonderful tombstones from the era, post mortem photos, people in mourning dress, anything Victorian funereal related, etc.

About Nineteenth Century Mourning Photos, Objects, Ephemera, and ArtThis group is for images, paintings, paper ephemera, and drawings from the 1800s (nineteenth century) regarding death (post mortem or funeral images) and mourning (people wearing mourning clothing or jewelry, memorial cards, mourning jewelry itself, tombstones from the era, for example), and anything else applicable. Some spillover into the late 1700s and early 1900s is fine. |
