The purpose of this group is to document and display Motel and Hotel signage. It can be a chain Motel/Hotel, it can be a "mom-n-pop", new or vintage. It can be working, broken, day or night, fancy or plain, neon or plastic. You can have the motel/hotel in your photo, just as long as the sign is in the main focus of the photo.
Some groups limit the number of photos you can post. Not here. If you have them, share them. Some groups are limited to vintage only, motel only, hotel only. If it's overnight lodging, it's OK here. That includes motels, hotels, tourist courts, motor inns, motor hotels, cabins, overnight cottages. Still not sure? Post it anyway. We'll sort it out later. :-)
Formerly, postcards of motels were ok here, but now we request that your motel postcards be directed to the "Motel Postcards" group. Welcome there are motel postcards, ashtrays, matchbooks, guidebooks, and other motel memorabilia. Please... no postcards in this group. Thanks.
While you're here, please have a look at the contributions of others too. Perhaps leave a comment if you enjoy their photo. This isn't a rule or commandment, just tryin' to be neighborly. :-)
Note: If your sign is vintage, please consider also adding it to the group "I Love Old Signs!". We'd love to have it there too! (You might also want to add it to "Vintage Motel Signs Only!" too.)
