About Morningside Heights, NYC

Pictures taken in or of Morningside Heights, the Manhattan NYC neighborhood bound (roughly) by West 110th St., Morningside Park, West 125th St., and Riverside Park. It's a distinct location that is not really the Upper Upper West Side or the southwest corner of Harlem. It has been called New York's Acropolis and is home to such major institutions as Columbia University, the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, St. Luke's Hospital, and the Riverside Church.

Smaller sites such as Sakura Park and monuments to Carl Schurz, Samuel Tilden and the Amiable Child also dot the neighborhood. Those who live in the many apartment buildings large and small know the local institutions such as the Hungarian Pastry Shop, Samad's Deli, the West End and of course Tom's Restaurant.

Limit: five pictures a day, so please post your best.
