About Best of Abandoned/Post 1-Award 2

This is a group for sharing the Best of Abandoned Places/Objects/Subjects through our urban and rural explorations. BOA was created to share high quality images of abandonment. We're looking for quality over quantity, so please don't take it personally if one of your entries is filtered and deleted.

Photography of abandoned spaces is like filling the void, and revealing the beauty of our human experience of abandonment collectively. Those who reveal these dimensions I feel 'capture our imagination'.

PLEASE READ THE GROUP RULES BEFORE JOINING OR POSTING:

Please use the comment codes below. Urban/Rural exploration is like any group, no different than celebrating Macro or B&W photography; so this is why BOA decided to create awards and mandatory comments. We don't want a pool of abandoned photos just sitting here abandoned once again!

MEMBERSHIP EXPECTATIONS:

* 2 submissions per day maximum
* 2 comment per photo submission/Post 1-Award 2
* Comments (Seen In Code)
are mandatory.
*Please comment immediately after submitting
your work.

GROUP SUBMISSION EXPECTATIONS:

--All creative mediums & processes are accepted, but they must be of high quality and remain relevant to abandoned themes.

--This is not solely a decay group, nor is it narrowly defined for only urban explorations. Rural explorers are welcome.

--Artistic images of abandonment are wide ranging as long as it is clear what the image is about on some level. That's why BOA includes submissions of portraits of abandoned people, rural, and even street life in the appropriate contexts ... Works of an editorial, or documentary, nature of abandoned places or people are also welcome and encouraged.

--Urban, rural, and industrial images are all welcome.

--There are many kinds of explorers, and all are welcome...

-- Works that stimulate emotional & intellectual responses are welcome, and any form of processing that are dynamic and creative are welcome and encouraged.
