About Morecambe Bay
This group is all about photography in the Morecambe Bay area of North West England.
The landward side of the Bay (for the sake of definition) reaches as far south as Fleetwood and to Walney Island in the north. It includes the estuaries of the Wyre, the Lune and the Bela.
Morecambe Bay provides a wealth of locations for photography. The wrecks on the banks of the Wyre, Cockerham Sands, boats in Glasson Dock, Sunderland Point, sunsets at Arnside and Roa Island (to name but a few) have all provided stunning settings for both local photographers and visitors to the area.
I hope that this group will provide a showcase for the best images of this fascinating and ever changing area.
