Just seeing the company that my photo is keeping makes me happy, even though I didn't win!
Well done to the winners and other runners-up, and thanks to MOO for running the competition at all and for supporting such a good cause while doing so.

Well done to the winners. I had predicted Peter's trees photo might win and I'm really glad hugryjonny's beautiful illustration won that category.
I hope loads of $$ has been raised.

i hate to be the black sheep but i just don't see where's the funny in the "funniest" card :-P no offense to jeffholmes i'm just being honest. and to my sadness the ones that won were chosen more on popularity and interestingness rating than by any jury choice :-P
but hey it's christmas and it's all for a good cause, so congratulations everyone and thanks to moo cards for this oportunity.

Helder: It might be an American thing, but we were trying to go for a stylized 50's perfect family.
The concept was based somewhat on the TV show "Leave it to Beaver" or "Saturday Evening Post" magazine covers, or Norman Rockwell paintings.
The whole "Wife with a vacuum and a pie", while the father reads Christmas stories to children, is so idealistic in this day and age that its supposed to be funny.

I agree, some of the winning images seemed to be based on popularity rather than the judges opinions. I'm sorry but I don't get the impression that this was a neutral vote.
But hey, congrats to the winners, lucky you!

A very good contest. It brought out divergent talent. Winners and runners up were very deserving!
