Moo and photos marked private.
 |
I am sure this has been asked before but I can't seem to find it. Do the photos have to be marked public on flickr in order for them to be used for printing?
I have uploaded some images especially to make moo cards with and they are marked private at the moment.
Thanks

NO! Actually this is something I have meant to highlight a couple of times - Moo, very cleverly, can see all your private photos.
Recently I uploaded a whole set of 30 private photos which I didn't want the world to see and was able to order Moo Cards from them.
The same will apply to the greetings cards - it is much better if you can upload private ones so the recipient doesn't guess which Flickr photo is going to be made into their card! :)
All you need to do to test this is tag a couple of private photos in Flickr and then search for them when you are in Moo.

Nope - when you authorise moo to access your photostream, it includes your private photos.
The corollary to this question is "what if I don't want them to see my private photos?" and the answer's sort of a multi-parter:
• Some level of authentication is required for them to know you are who you say you are, and the 'read' permission Moo requests is the simplest and least intrusive one Flickr offers.
• If you don't want to print them, moo doesn't want to look at them.
• You can cancel the permission at any time (though before your order has printed is probably not the best idea)

Thank You both that's great :-) The reason I don't want them all public is because I didn't take the pictures, although I do have permission to use them.
And yes they do all show in the moo interface.
