About Montour Preserve

PPL's (Pennsylvania Power & Light Corp) Montour Preserve has a nearby coalburning electric power plant cooled by the water of man made lake. The lake is the central part of Montour Preserve. The lake is surrounded by the preserve. The Preserve offers year round nature programs.
Located in north central Pennsylvania (northern Montour County), the Preserve offer many hiking trails, picnicking facilities, bird watching, limited boating & sailing, and fishing.
The purpose of this group is to offer a collection of pictures showing nature at the preserve. The well maintained preserve has a wealth of wildlife and many photo opportunities. All submissions should be of nature at Montour Preserve. Avoid duplicating pictures. Any inappropriate submissions will be deleted.
