About Monte Pisano (Pisa, Tuscany, Italy)

Nature, history, hills and valley, towns and local products, landscape, historical buildings and natural features of "Monte Pisano" (Pisa's Mountain), a group of hills north of Pisa and south of Lucca.

It's one of the oldest mountains in Italy but it's not tall (maximum 900 meters on sea level) and with a small extension. But it's full of hidden treasures, bot historical and natural.

Photos in this pool should be taken on the "Monte Pisano" or on the nearby territory, such as the municipality of Calci, Buti, Vicopisano, Capannori, Lucca, San Giuliano Terme, Vicopisano. Picture MUST be related to nature, history, buildings, local products of the "Monte Pisano" and the town that lie on it. Pictures of nearby cities, but not directly related to the mountain, like Pisa or Lucca, will be removed.

GROUP RULES
---------------------------------
Please be polite and respect others' opinions. We are not here to talk about religion, politics and personal belief: the topic should be the "Monte Pisano" and the surroundings towns. Most of the members are italians so many posts will be in italian but we all understand english, so feel free to post in english.

PICTURES YOU CAN POST: everything "Monte Pisano"-related, from houses to church, ruined farm houses to vegetation, animal to fields and meadow, local people to old commercial activities in towns, landscape and trails. Everything from Buti, Calci, Vicopisano, Asciano, Agnano, Caprona, Santa Maria del Giudice, Ripafratta, San Giuliano Terme, ... and other towns that lie on the mountains or on it's margin.

PICTURES YOU CAN'T POST: Pisa, Cascina, Bientina, Lucca, Pontedera and others nearby cities: they are not directly connected to the mountains!

SO, JUST TO BE SURE:

!!! NO PICS OF PISA !!!

No leaning tower, no lungarni.... no Pisa! There are other groups for this (like www.flickr.com/groups/pisa/)
