Greetings everyone! Here you will find a compilation of the best classic images from the land of the rising sun. I'm sure you will agree with me about the timeless qualities of monochrome images, and we aim to convey that essence into the daily scenes of life in Japan.

Please take a look at the group to get an idea of what kind of images we are looking for. In order to maintain the quality of this special group images are heavily moderated. If you don't see your image no hard feelings! We just want to strive to make this the best collection of images possible.

どうも、みなさん！この新しいグループでは、日出ずる国ニッポンならではの、風情ある写真を集めることをめざしています。白黒写真によって、よりいっそう、日本の景観美がきわ立つものだという僕の意見にも納得して頂けることと思います。僕は、日ごろの日本人の生活の中にも、そういった「風情」をふきこんでいきたいと思ってます。

僕らがどんな写真を集めているかは、グループを見てみてください。このグループにふさわしくないと思われる写真は無断で削除することがあります。悪く思わないで！僕らはできる限りベストな写真集を作りたいのです。
