I didn't get to see The DaVinci Code till this past weekend when I bought it. I was thrilled to see the moleskine laid on the podium when Mr. Langdon started his lecture. What a delight. Was sorry it wasn't used again in the movie.
Example: when he was writing on the 3X5 cards working out the code by the body. Would have been so cool if he had used the notebook.
I love seeing "our" little notebooks showing up everywhere these days.

Audrey Tautou is definitely a Moleskine magnet in her movies!! After "Amélie Poulain" and "Da Vinci Code", she is seen with a notebook in her last movie "Hors de prix" ("Too expensive"): on a pocket ruled notebook she notes all the little things which helps her to track her future "victims".
Sorry but no screenshots to show yet (the film has just came out a few days ago on the french screens). But you should go and see the film by yourself if you live in France: it's very funny.

This is cerataily true for the final film, but jessek is refering to the first outing. I can't comment because it's while since I've seen it, but as you rightly say, the Grail Diary from the third film is a prop.

Yesterday's installment of Alexander McCall Smith's Corduroy Mansions serial novel in the London Telegraph has a character taking notes in a Moleskine in her Venetian painting class.
"now the lecture on Venetian painting had ended and she found that all she had written in her Moleskine notebook was: “The boundaries of what we call the Venetian School . . .”
She snapped the Moleskine shut and followed her fellow students out of the room. "
