Hey there!
I'm from Dubai, and I absolutely love moleskine. I've tried pretty much every notebook out there, but found out that none is better than Moleskine! I used to buy them from overseas during my travels, but lucky for me, they started bringing them to Dubai. yay!
If anyone is interested in "altered" moleskines, please view my profile for the link to my Etsy shop :)

Hi everyone!
I'm Jose from Lisbon, Portugal. I currently own 3 moleskine sketchbooks and a daily planner. One larger sketchbook, which I don't carry around, and 2 smaller ones which I try to always keep at hand for when inspiration kicks in. My favourite one is a shiny, bright orange Van Gogh Moleskine. Posh! :) I don't use them for anything related to my work (I'm a physician), but I love drawing and painting people and landscape while traveling, and have been using the larger sketchbook to plan some 3D works I do now and again. Quite honestly, it would be easier to describe what I do NOT use a moleskine for... just love them!

Hi Everyone,
This is the first group I joined since joining flickr today. I enjoyed looking at many of your creative artworks in your moleskines.
I discovered moleskine a few years back by chance. I needed a notebook/journal so I went to a local art store. I looked through what seem to be dozens of different notebooks and the moleskine just stood out for me. I purchased it even though it cost twice as much as most of the other notebooks. I didnt even know what it was called or that there was this huge fan base for them. When I opened it, I was hooked. I loved the feel and the look of it. It looked like it could be filled with important writings/drawings. It made me want to be creative... I bought one for my sister and my mom and they got hooked too.
I noticed more and more people using them.. and then I searched for it on flickr.... and found so many awesome photographs of ppl's moleskines.
I love how it gets the worn out look after a long time use. I love how accomplished I feel when I fill one up and most of all I love how excited I get to open a brand new one.

Hi Everyone,
I just bought my first moleskine, a pocket diary.
Last week, I learned about money management. One of the rule is to spend 10% of my money to buy the things that I really want without feeling guilty and thoroughly enjoy it. I decided to use this play money to buy a moleskine! Something that I always dream of having. I've always wanted to buy one, but the price has stopped me from getting one for years already. It is very expensive here in Indonesia.
I am going to use it for my daily success journal. If my life is worth recording, it is worth recording in a moleskine :)

Hello,
I'm addicted. I have just completed my first Moleskine, and now I want to share it with others. I am a graphic designer with a degree in Creative Writing, but art, in many forms, has always been one of my most treasured hobbies.
I love my watercolor Moleskine because it motivates me to work on a small project every day. Sometimes, I get lazy with art because I am not in the mood to work on a large canvas or to pull out paint and brushes for a major project, but my moleskine allows me to work in a small space and on the go. I love the challenge of getting an idea across on such a small page.

Hi, My name is Phil.
I am British and live on the south coast of the UK. My wife and I are mad about photography. I use my main small Moleskine for keeping photogaphic records and it lives in my camera bag. My large Moleskine is kept in our caravan and is our caravan log book for logging eack trip we go on.
Also I have thin Molskine cahiers in coat pockets to keep notes and write things down that I need to remember.
Moleskines are more than a notebook

Hello. I keep my Moleskine very close to my heart. It records my illustrations, as well as daily sketches and doodles that may not seem significant at the time, but records my past in a very endearing, tactile way. I am on my 7th Moleskine and plan to use it to recorded my journey as long as Moleskine notebooks exist. I am looking forward to seeing how others use this wonderful item.

Howdy, I'm Erik by way of Texas, Germany, the UK, Texas (again), and Germany (again.)
I'm a fan of the hardcover notebooks, preferably small and with blank pages (no lines, no grids, nothing.) I tend to use them more as a snapshot of whatever I was doing when I had the Molskine around - notes, to-do lists, random thoughts, dreams, goals, etc. I usually end up sticking ticket stubs and receipts in there as well.
Unlike a lot of people in this Flickr pool, I don't really doodle in mine - it's mostly semi-coherent ramblings and words.
There are some great artists in this group though - an inspiration for everyone!

I'm James, i reside in minneapolis, minnesota and am a student.
I got my first Moleskine in september when walking through barnes and nobel one cought my eye. it made me think of the Lupe Fiasco song Gold Watch when he says 'i like moleskine paper'. i had been looking for something to write in so i grabbed one and have not turned back since. I like to write down random thoughts in it and occasionally take a stab at drawing. i keep it tucked away in my desk, cause thats where most of my good ideas are born.

Hello, everyone. I've just joined today, after lurking on Moleskinerie for quite a while.
I'm a poet, so most of my Moleskiner-ing (new verb ?) involves writing. But I do like collage too, and using those beautiful inks from FW, is it ? They are acrylic and come in little jars. Some are pearlescent.
I live in the N.W. of England, have a husband, three children and two cats. And am not, in fact, Polish.
Good to be here.

Hi all! I'm new to moleskine's but have been making/teaching mixed media for 7 years now and finally caved in :) My goal for 2009 is to journal every day and I thought it would be fun to do so in a moleskine instead of one of the big clunky journals I use for the infrequent art journal entry.
I'm 38, live in rural Michigan with my husband of almost 18 years and 2 crazy teenagers. I mostly make handstitched art quilts, but also do felt purses, handmade journals, paper quilts and once in a blue moon ATCs.
really love all your work!

I've been watching the group for a while.
But I've only recently bought some pocket-size ruled cahiers, and a pocket-size ruled reporter to use for writing in.
Personally the hype is quite dead for me, and I'm pretty sure this will be the first and last moleskine I ever get(I paid half-price for the reporter to begin with).
But still, I find the general individual of the stationery-lover community to be quite kind and always very helpful.
And I do like the cahiers, even if they are a little pricey.

i'm really quite the journal-phobe! i get scared i'm going to ruin them and then never get around to writing in them.. or i'll write something silly towards the beginning and wish i hadn't. but i'm going to try and get over this! and this group has totally been an inspiration in that respect (as well as about nine million others!).
i'm super excited about starting this. i plan on using it to doodle and recount silly moments in life.. so i guess kind of as a daily journal sort of thing, just maybe a bit enhanced?
glad to be here!

I've been carrying it everywhere with me and writing it in whenever I feel the urge to write! I've got three clean moleskines waiting for me once I finish this one, but even at that it's going to take me a while.
But that's what I do, I write like crazy. Story ideas, random inspiration, and rants all stuffed into the pages of my moleskine. In short? I'm definitely hooked on moleskines.
Eek! And I'm from Southern California.

I have carried around a small drawing pad everywhere I go for almost 30 years. Mostly Strathmore series 400 4x6 pads.
I have been using Moleskines for about three years now. I like the tooth of the paper & the softness of the whole pad after a couple days spent in my back pocket.
Now I buy them by the dozen.

Hey! I'm Alecia, 21 from Oregon. I got my first Moleskine for Christmas two years ago and set it on my bookshelf because I already had a sketchbook I was working in and forgot about it. A few months ago I was in an ongoing art slump and googled "sketchbook" and found that the most amazing sketches were done in a "moleskine." I realized that I had one and went digging through all of my things. I pulled it out and couldn't believe I had this gem I hadn't been using! I now have that original large sketchbook, a Seattle citybook and three Japanese foldouts. I'm hoping to get a small pocket journal and a storyboard moly soon when I have more cash. My boyfriend was also mugged in Morocco recently and had his moly stolen, so I'm hoping to send him another one soon! :(
Nice to meet you all!

I post Moleskine stuff in my tumblelog and I just created a new set with some of my scribbles just because I spotted this group on Flickr.
I mostly use ballpens and stabilo fineliners, as I tend to leaving fingerprints everywhere when I use pencils. The only thing I don't like is the fact that Copic Markers don't work in Moleskine sketchbooks.
In my opinion, Moleskine and scribbles are a perfect match.

i would like to make a shoutout to all of you loyal moleskine owners who continue to inspire me & my moleskine. because the moleskine is not just a notebook, it is a lifestyle

You can spend many hours fiddling with moleskine as a google search topic. Fun and informative but also a consumer of your precious time so I try to plan such forays for downtime. It's also possible to shop online for great molie values if you're careful. I like to make sure I have lots of notebooks.

Hello all! have just joined this group after purchasing my first moley about a week ago (and another 2 since). However, I have only just today worked up the courage to actually write in one! I wrote in the pocket plain notebook, and also have the pocket ruled and the large ruled. already love them. will be using them mainly for writing and doodles/small sketches. hoping to post some images as and when. only slight thing ive noticed is that the ink (of pilot g2 gel ink pens) can be seen through the paper on the other side of it. just wondering if everyone gets this, and if i dont like it would i have been better off getting a sketchbook rather than the plain nbk? hello again :)

Hi, I'm Lisa and I'm jumping the gun, I've written half a page only in the first moleskine I've ever bought. But I came out of my last uni class ever and decided to mark the occasion somehow...
I write, mostly, but I also collage and sometimes draw (poorly).

Hello my name is Linda Willemszoon I’am a young Dutch illustrator. For several years I make illustrations for my ‘Train travel diary Today’.
Every yourney I make with the train I illustrate my day in ‘Today’. The fun of it is that it shows how a young Illustrator finds her way in live and work. I started my diary in 2003, when I traveled daily with the train to the academy of fine arts in Utrecht, The Netherlands. I love to draw 'Today' in a little 'Moleskine Notebook'.
Bye Bye!

Hello all!
I'm Emma - almost one full year into a bachelor's degree in Political Science & Hispanic Studies (hopefully with a Master's by the time I'm done!) & a lover of Moleskine notebooks (plain pages, large size!)
I got my first Moleskine 2 years ago but my TRUE obsession started a year ago - when I finally fell deeply in love with the little black notebook & saw its purpose in my life! :]

Hi... I'm Kate. I'm new here. I'm 20 (almost 21) and a Photography student at Daytona State.
I only really use the Moleskine weekly/notebook planners... it was recommended to me and I got it 50% off just before the new year... and I fell in love with it. The layouts are perfect and really really help me stay organized. So yeah. I don't have any other moleskine notebooks, hope that's okay?
I mostly like watching the discussions on here.

Hi everyone!
I'm Janet and I live in Australia. I was so excited to get my first Moleskine sketchbook in the mail a few weeks ago. I love the format and the convenient size and would like to try a watercolour Moleskine as well. Looking forward to browsing through your work.
Cheers.

My name's Fredd Gorham, and i am an illustrator and web developer who lives in Omaha, Nebraska.
As a fun project for myself i am doing a sketch a day for a year, and call it the "365 Days of Drawing" project. I am posting all of my illustrations to my Flickr account on a daily basis to share and get comments on, and i use the Moleskin small sketchbook for all of the drawings. As of this writing, i am at Day 205 . I have uploaded some samples of my illustrations to this group for your consideration.
I love the size of the sketchbook because it is so portable and the paper quality is just tremendous. I love the fact i can keep things in the pouch in the back and the sketchbooks are very sturdy.
Please let me know what you think. Click on the icon above to view the entire set. Thanks!

Hi All. I'm David. From Dublin, Ireland. Started keeping a journal just before last Xmas. I was kind of inspired by Danny Gregory. Hadn't really drawn since school over 30 years ago. Enjoying teaching myself to sketch. Love Moleskines. Such a good size. So neat and distinctive. May post something sometime.

Greetings, I'm Michael from Pennsylvania and I'm a photographer. I recently picked up a stack of Moleskines (mostly Japanese fold and watercolor) so I could get back to painting and drawing as well as creating photo/mixed media books.
Lots of great work coming out of this group.

I`m an Italian Architect, born in 1980, with a Master Degree in Sustainable Design.
I lived in Germany and Australia, travelled in Europe, Asia, Australia and North America.
My favourite techniques are pencil, ink and watercolor. I`ve been mainly drawing architecture and landscapes, but I`m thinking to start doing portraits as well.

My name's Kaitlin. I just moved to Texas but I've been living in Sacramento, CA and then Nashville, TN before that. I'm restless. And I always have a Moleskine and pen in my pocket. ALWAYS. I feel naked without one. I use them mostly for writing. I jot down fleeting thoughts, things I hear people say, bumper stickers, catchy advertisements and billboards.
