About Modern Zeppelin
On September 18, 1997, a prototype of a modern Zeppelin made it's first flight. The Zeppelin NT, manufactured by Zeppelin Luftschifftechnik GmbH in Germany used modern technology to create an airship that was much more maneuverable than the old airships. Today, there are three such airships in the world. One each in Germany and Japan, and most recently, one in the USA that flys out of the old Navy base at Moffett Field in Mountain View California.
