signups are now closed!
we have 148 people!
you will still be making 101 blocks.
you must follow my siggy block tutorial
---
for those of you not using pre-cut fabric strips
the white is 2 1/2" strips
and the colors are 1 1/2" strips
to make 101 blocks you'll need
a yard of white - 30" to be exact
and a bit over a yard of modern fabric.. b/c you need 36" exact
and you'll make 12 strip sets which will yield 108 blocks
---
note
you don't have to use the same fabric on both sides of your block... but if you use 2 different fabrics.. like karrielyne did... make sure they are similar and in a finished quilt will still "read" as one block
fabrics
{ same as round #1... info right from rachel's post }
in this version of the siggy swap we'll be using fresh, modern fabrics.

amy butler, lila tueller, joel dewberry, paula prass, patty young
denyse schmidt, sandi henderson, erin mcmorris, tina givens
basic grey, momo, & chez moi.
just to name a few. lol.
if you have a question about a certain fabric, just ask.

If we're finished, are we allowed to start mailing the Swap 2 blocks?

Does your signature need to say anything in particular? Like full name, location, state, country? And can it be in any colour or is there a prefered pigma pen?
Thanks!

Is there a preference for writing out the state name or using the abbreviation?

I think if you have a long city name in a long state name, just go ahead and write out the city, and just use the abbreviation of the state. You want to make sure that your city and state -and even your name- fits on the blocks just so, that way when the blocks are quilted together it's within the seam allowances, and nothing is getting blocked off into the seam allowances.

I'll not be using my city and state as I don't live in the USA, and writing Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on every square will probably make it a bit large! Melbourne, Australia will have to do :-)

Sent mine out today too. Mail lady looked at me funny when I told her i needed enough postage to cover mailing back my fabric (had her weigh the blocks). She said, "your sending it away just to have it mailed back to you?"...LOL.
