21 Oct 09 - Please feel free to add photos of yourself and start a promo thread (if you're a model working in or willing to travel to Bristol). If you're a photographer, make-up artist, stylist, designer or other related field and would like to promote any model/s you have worked with then please post images of them here.

Remember to include a link to the model (their website, Flickr "PiP" Tag or online portfolio etc) in your image description so they can be contacted for work by others using this group.

About Bristol & South West Models

The idea of this group is to help models who are in Bristol and South West UK, or who are willing to travel to a shoot in those areas, get noticed by the photographers, MUAs, stylists and other related creatives. Yes there are lots of sites online like Model Mayhem and Purestorm where you can find models/togs/MUAs/etc. But, those sites are so filled with people from all over the world it can be a chore to just find someone local *and* someone reliable. This group has already demonstrated it's value by providing a simple place for us all to display our work and issue casting calls.

Models
So, if you're a model then join up and start a topic with your name and identify yourself as a model eg;

James Smith - Male Model

Put some details in it and add a couple of photo links to the post (make sure you Flickr "People in Photos" Tag yourself in those images). You can add links to images by copying the address from the top of your browser into the post and adding the square brackets to each end [ ... ]

You'll get something like this;

Photographers
If you're a photographer then feel free to join and place casting calls for your shoots. Make sure you make it easy to find and understand from the title eg;

Casting Call: October 2009 - Motorcycle Shoot - Bristol City - TFCD

Put the information in and if you've got shots of the location, Google Map links or examples of shots you'd like to try then put them in the post as well.

Remember, more information means you're more likely to get interest.

MUA, Stylists and Others
Welcome and please post your details in the same way as the models if you're interested in being contacted. If you've got an idea then please place a casting call... If you don't have a photographer then you can always entice them into a collaboration project via a good casting call.
