04 May 08 - The difference between "Models" and "Model engineering" is somewhat vague. The criterion I am applying is this. The model must work, look and be built like its full sized prototype. If one looks at the pictures I have started the group off with then you will see what I am after. . . .

About Model Engineering

Anything that is manufactured in miniture in the same way it is manufactured in full size. This group is for all you miniture mechanics and engineers out there who produce wonderful working models of almost anything one can imagine. Steam locomotives Traction engines and clocks are the traditional output from model engineers but such "modern" items such as jet and rocket engines, diesel-hydraulic locomotives and almost any other type of vehicle or machine have been modelled. Whilst not being a model engineer myself (funds do not permit) , I would love to be . . . An who knows what the future may hold. . .
