About Metering MF lenses on Nikon DSLRs
Spin off from the original and wildly sucessful No metering lenses on Nikon DSLRs which has become the premier Flickr group for discussing manual-focus lenses on Nikon digital bodies. The MF was not present in the name but widely assumed in practice. Of course, its the bodies which don't meter; the lenses can enable metering on suitable bodies.
The emergence of CPU-enabled MF lenses (such as the Voigtlander SLII series), 'chipped' modifications of AI lenses, and the moving up of some participants to bodies (e.g. D300, D700) which provide mechanical aperture sensing and so meter with AI or AIS lenses, seems to call for a sister group with a similar MF on Nikon DSLR focus but where metering lenses are on-topic.
