About .NET Academic Develeloper Group at MIPT

.NET Academic Developer Group at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology was founded on February 17, 2003. It unites student technology and entrepreneurship enthusiasts of Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.

The group is focused primarily on Microsoft technology and development platform however other technologies are often covered as well.

The group organizes regular meetings and university-scale events like Web Technology Days, or Microsoft Technology Days. The group has been able to attract renowned speakers from both academia and industry, so the events are a true source of knowledge and expertise for the attendees.

The meetings are free to attend and include presentations, Q&A sessions, discussions, networking and snacks. The meetings are a networking platform where students can exchange their experience, learn from each other, start new projects or kickstart their career by finding jobs.

The group's members have successfully participated in computer science and software engineering where they have won top awards both nationally and worldwide.

The biggest success is in the Imagine Cup, the world's largest and most inclusive student technology competition. The group's members walked away with the 2nd place in Software Design World Finals in Brazil in 2004, they won the venerable title of World Champions in Japan, 2005 and were named among top12 teams in India, 2006.

By the way, this means that MIPT students have won Russia & CIS Regional Finals of Imagine Cup for three years in a row!

Many group's members have reached world semifinals in such categories as Algorithms, Project Hoshimi: Programming Battle placing MIPT among world's top universities in the Imagine Cup.
