About Miniature Books
This group is a place to share photos and thoughts about handmade miniature books. According to the Miniature Book Society, a miniature book is any book measuring 3" x 3" or smaller. Please share books you have made yourself (or books made by friends) and books from your collections representing printers and bookmakers who are no longer with us. Please try to avoid posting commercially made miniature books (usually made in large editions, printed photo-offset and not particularly interesting). It would be really helpful if posters would include dimensions and bibliographic particulars such as number of pages, date made, edition size, printer, binder, illustrator or other details available by looking at the book itself. Please try to limit photos to two or three representative images. For book makers - photos and descriptions of tools and materials used to make books are encouraged. Welcome and enjoy the creative world of Miniature Books.
NOTE: As Administrator I have had to make the difficult choice to remove some posters that violate the general description of the group. I will no longer allow digital reductions of books and dioramas which small books play a part. This site is devoted to handmade miniature books only.
