n. a significant event or stage in the life, progress, development, or the like of a person, nation, etc.: Her getting the job of supervisor was a milestone in her career.

Every culture celebrates life's achievements in their own unique ways. It could be as life changing as a wedding or a death. Or reaching a special age as in yakudoshi or bar mitzvah. Or it can be as mundane as a first hair cut or baby's first tooth. Rites of passage, ceremonies and traditions fascinate me. Please join us by sharing your life accomplishments through photography.
