About Miksang World

This group is a platform to share miksang photos and experiences, and keep each other inspired to keep yourself and the camera avaliable to apply the miksang principles while "shooting".

Miksang is a Tibetan word that means 'Good Eye', and is based on the Dharma Art teachings of the late meditation master, artist and scholar, Chögyam Trungpa, specifically his teachings on the nature of perception.

Miksang, at its most basic level, is concerned with uncovering the truth of pure perception. We see something vivid and penetrating, and in that moment we can express our perception without making anything up—nothing added, nothing missing. Totally honest about what we see—straight shooting.
One moment, one shot.

Note: this group is for anyone who has completed at least Level One Miksang with Michael Wood, Julie DuBose, Genice Wickum, Nina Mudita and/or Helen Vink.
