About Manchester International Festival 2011 - your pictures

The Guardian has a rich history of Manchester-based photographers – from Walter Doughty, who became the paper's first staff photographer in 1908, to Denis Thorpe, Don McPhee and many more.

This year, we want to see your photographs of Manchester during the city's international festival of arts and culture. If you're out and about with your camera soaking up the MIF atmosphere, post your pictures to Flickr and add them to our group.

Manchester International Festival runs from 30 June to 17 July 2011.


We'll feature some of our favourite portfolios and pictures from the group on guardian.co.uk and maybe in other formats, e.g. our newspapers. By posting your pictures here you a) acknowledge that you have created the pictures or have permission to do so; and b) grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, free licence to publish your pictures as described. Copyright resides with you and you may reuse your pictures however you wish. You will be credited and paid if we make other uses of your pictures.
