About Mid-City
Photographs of Mid-City New Orleans.
Everyone seems to have a different idea of where exactly Mid-City begins and ends, but most everyone agrees that it straddles Canal Street (the divider between Uptown and Downtown). It's also generally recognized to include such landmarks as the Falstaff Brewery, the American Can Company -- and of course Mid-City Lanes, the home of Rock 'n' Bowl used to be here but they moved. So did the Krewe of Mid-City. But the tail end of Bayou St. John is still here.

Some people use Mid-City in a more expansive sense, to include a much larger district of the city that would include such neighborhoods as Faubourg St. John and the Fairgrounds and Gert Town, maybe even the Seventh Ward.
Anyway, we're not interested in arguing about imaginary boundaries. So long as it qualifies as Mid-City in your mind, post up.
And welcome!
