About Micronauts/Microman Customized Toys Welcome to the Micronauts/Microman Customized Toys group here at Flickr! I'm Alexis Dyer, a.k.a. "Argonaut X", your host...and the creator/admin of this group.  THE PURPOSE OF THIS GROUP: To showcase your customized action figures, vehicles, ships, robots, etc from any of the following Micro-related toy lines:  HERE ARE THE RULES: Your customized toys must be made from any of the above-mentioned MICRO toy lines. ---OR--- ...you can kit-bash (toy-jack) using NON-Micronauts/Microman toys...so long as you create relatively well-known Micro-Characters...such as Time Traveler, Baron Karza, Biotron, etc. HERE ARE 3 PERFECT EXAMPLES OF MICRONAUTS TOY-JACKING: This latest one, from Flickr user "Shannon Ocean"...a true craftsman in the art of making Lego customs! He made these really cool-looking Time Travellers:  Action figure customizer "Jin Saotome" used odds and ends from several other non-Micro toy lines to create some really cool, one-of-a-kind versions of Acroyear and Baron Karza as they appear in Marvel's "They Came From Inner Space" and "New Voyages" comic book series from the 80's. Click on these thumbnails below to check out the detail much larger: ACROYEAR  BARON KARZA  As with these toy-jacking examples above, the toys that appear in photos which you upload to the group's photo pool must be customized either by you or by someone else that you know (or are aware of). If it seems appropriate/necessary for you to obtain someone else's permission first before you upload photos of their micro toy customs, then please do so - - and be sure to give credit where credit is due! Use whatever methods available at your disposable to create your micro customs. I don't care how you create them; altered, cut, glued, painted, re-assembled, cast your own parts - - doesn't matter! BE CREATIVE! BE RESOURCEFUL!  ***IMPORTANT NOTE*** Photos of your non-customized Micronauts/Microman toys will NOT be accepted into this group's photo pool. I reserve the right to delete such photos at my convenience and discretion at any time, should such photos appear.  You may upload straight photos of your Micro-custom creations in an unedited, non-Photoshopped manner.  ...OR...you may Photoshop the hell out of 'em! Add interesting, creative-looking virtual backgrounds, digital effects, graphics, text, etc.  Your creations themselves must actually exist in the real world though. We don't want to see your "virtual custom figures" that only exist in a computer program. There are other Flickr photo groups devoted to that type of artwork and that's where you should submit such photos instead. The goal here is for you to create actual, tangible customized Micro toys and share them with the Microverse (and everyone else here on Earth!).   This group is for kids of all ages (from 2 to 92)...so please keep it clean & legal.  If you believe that you're a good fit for this group, then please consider joining today! |
