Here’s a place to share images (especially Old Photos) of people, family, places, events, whatever, related to Michigan’s Thumb. Other people would like to see what's in those boxes and albums you found in your grandparents’ closet ... or the photos you shot this week.

Also, please feel free to join this group for discussions, even if you don't have photos to offer.

Michigan’s Thumb? Surely you’ve noticed that the lower half of Michigan is shaped like a mitten. The thumb of that mitten (basically Huron, Tuscola, Sanilac, Lapeer and St. Clair counties) is the region locally known as The Thumb. There are conservatives who claim that The Thumb lies exclusively north of M-90; there are liberals who believe that everything down to Eight Mile is part of The Thumb. Personally, we’re not too picky about the geography.

Regretfully, we will delete stuff that doesn’t have an obvious connection to The Thumb. Your written description accompanying each picture will be very important to us and, we’re sure, to everyone else who views it.
