Originally set up the day after the historic US election in November 2008, members were invited to send messages to the president-elect: what did they want to say to Obama, on the eve of becoming President of the US?
A greeting?
A warning?
Some sage (or silly) advice?
An idea?
Group members held up messages to the camera and tell the world in a variety of creative ways what they wanted to tell him.
It has now been nearly 8 months since the election and 6 since Obama assumed office. This group is increasingly being used for a variety of other campaigns, tributes and criticisms of US/Whitehouse policy, and there are plenty of other groups for all the different perspectives people have. So we're closing submissions to this group.
Thanks for your participation - and all your messages for Obama, which together became a vibrant illustration of a historic time.
