About Mercer Slough Nature Park
This is a group was created for the sharing of photos (landscapes, flora, and fauna) from Bellevue, Washington's Mercer Slough Nature Park.
Located just minutes from downtown, the Mercer Slough Nature Park is the largest of Lake Washington's remaining freshwater wetlands, and at 320 acres, is one of Bellevue's largest parks. This unique natural area includes acres of wetland habitat, agriculture, and a freshwater wetland ecosystems with 7+ miles of trails (including a unique canoe trail). The park also includes a blueberry farm that sells fresh seasonal produce, the restored historic Winters House (Bellevue’s only public building on the National Historic Register), and the Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center, which is a partnership with the Pacific Science Center that focuses on freshwater wetland ecology.
