About Me and my Camera
"Pictures of People Who Take Pictures with the Picture Takers They Use and Love."
Camera and photographer - the perfect match. This group is all about photos of people and thier cameras... Some people just look more natural, more complete with a camera in their hands. Odds are good that if you are Flickr-ing, you might be one of those folks...
This group is all about you and your camera - shots of the two of you, whether from a friend's perspective, shooting a mirror, or using a third camera on a timer... any creative way to get a shot of you and your camera... as well as the shots you take of other photographers and their cameras. It is all about that love of the photography process - capturing the moment in which a photo was captured.
UPDATE:::
The group pool is an amazing collection of photographs, from quite a diverse and interesting collection of photographers. There are some absolutely fantastic photographs in this pool.
In keeping with the theme of the group, however, there are a few things that you should consider before posting a picture.
First - the content of the photo.
Photographs in this pool should, in some way shape or form, have a photographer 'represented', and a camera 'represented'. They do not have to be crystal clear exact images... a hazy reflection of yourself and your camera lens in a shop window - or the faint silhouette of a person holding a camera reflecting in someone's eye. Even your shadow. These are great additions to the pool. If it is really difficult to notice where the photgrapher is - a note on the photo can help... or a mention in the description. Notes and comments are not necesary, but they can be a great help to those viewing your photographs.
Examples of photographs which don't belong in this pool:
a) A self portrait where you hold the camera out at arm's length and take your own picture. If you can't see the camera in some way - it doesn't really go with the theme.
b) any photograph that does not, in some way, have a photographer and a camera in them.
c) a picture of a cow. a picture of you and your buddy in a plane. Or a car. Or a hot chick that is not holding a camera.
Second - the number of photos posted at one time.
No more than 2 photographs posted at a time. How much time? 24 hours is a good rule of thumb, but so long as someone else gets to post a picture or two between your postings, then you should be fine. If you have a whole batch of photographs that you can't wait to post to the pool - wait anyway. Space them out. You will wind up with more people seeing them if you post them across several days... and the pool will stay diverse and interesting to look at.
In general, that's the rules - and the rules are there to keep this group pool diverse, creative, entertaining and interesting to look at... and appropriate to the theme of the group.
In an effort to keep everything fair, I have gone through the recent postings, and eliminated some photos that were posted by the same person in large batches. Not something that I enjoyed doing - I feel really bad about it - but something that I felt was important to do.
If a photo of yours was removed - please don't take it as an insult. It is merely an attmept to keep everyone to the rules. Feel free to re-upload any photos that have been removed, so long as they meet the "Me and my camera" theme - and you stick to 2 at a time...
