About Mothers and Children of War and Poverty Foundation (MCWPF)

Mothers and Children of War and Poverty Foundation (MCWPF) is an international charitable organisation based in United Kingdom, which provides humanitarian and developmental relief to war-torn countries.

Humanity is going through a period of extreme warfare, oppression and poverty. This directly affects the innocent civilians of many nations around the world, who do not choose to be a part of such atrocities. These atrocities result in mothers being widowed, children being orphaned, human rights being breached and civilians turned into terrorists, which in turn results in more wars, further poverty and suffering. Some recent reports put the civilian causalities of war around 80-90% in Afghanistan, Iraq and Gaza.

Founded mainly by healthcare professionals, who believe in human welfare rather than human warfare and oaths such as: DO NO HARM, MCWPF aims to alleviate the suffering of all those mothers, children and civilians, who have been the innocent victims of recent wars as well as poverty around the world.

MCWPF is committed to the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (http://www.un.org/millenniumgoals/ ), aiming to run and support projects in the following sectors:

1. Humanitarian Emergency Relief
2. Medical aid
3. Educational aid
4. Sustainable community development
5. Child welfare
6. Water and sanitation
7. Advocacy and campaigning for human rights issues

Photos added to MCWPF can be used on the charity's website and presentations, members should inform the groupe admin if they do not want their photos to be used for such activities.
