This group is dedicated to the men and women of the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) that protect the citizens of the Sun Valley (Metropolitan Phoenix and rural Maricopa County), 24 hours a day/7 days a week since 1871. We invite all who would like to help honor the MCSO in pictures (vehicles, events, news photos, incidents) to post them here.
ABOUT THE MARICOPA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE:
The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) is a local law enforcement agency that serves Maricopa County, Arizona. It is the largest Sheriff department in the state and provides general-service law enforcement to unincorporated areas of Maricopa County, serving as the police for unincorporated areas of the county as well as incorporated cities within the county who have contracted with the agency for law-enforcement services (known as "contract cities"). It also operates the county jail system. Joe Arpaio, the current Sheriff of Maricopa County is well-known as "America's Toughest Sheriff".
