About Mauritius~Folklore
Regardless of the everlasting cliche of "wonderful beaches and crystal clear lagoons" Mauritius is a melting pot of culture and tradition perpetuated since a looong time now. Every Mauritian likes the cheerful domino parties by the shades of a Badamier, or the smell of the "carry poulet" in granny's kitchen. Marriage ceremonies are a great mix of color and flavor everyone is eager to attend. Life in Mauritius is turning toward ever growing modernization, but no one forgets to stop at the Chinese shop chatting with friends about the upcoming football match on TV.
This pool focuses on the aspect of Mauritius that is not depicted on traveling brochures, websites, etc...Often foreigners do capture those tiny details in their shots that makes the photo more ...Mauritian!! So everyone is welcomed to join as long as the shot doesn't contain beaches and crystal clear lagoons...XD(I'm serious)
