Here's one. I hope B&W is okay.
I took this photo in Badlands National Park, South Dakota. This was back in 2002. As soon as my classes were done, I hit the road and got the hell out of Iowa - skipping my own college graduation. During my week in Badlands NP, I crawled out of my tent most mornings to see bison scattered around the landscape. It was worth missing my graduation.

Another one.
Roatan, Honduras, 2009. After a day of sailing and snorkeling, this dolpin followed us back into the bay. It kept swimming around us, so we jumped off the boat to join it. It swam among us for several minutes and then took off to check out the boats in the bay.

OK, one more. Last one.
I spent a year in Wales a while back. It being Wales, I took pictures of sheep at every opportunity. Here I am on the Gower Pennisula in the southwest of Wales. If you look close, you can see a spot on the beach. That is the remains of a shipwreck.

Hi,
I shot this cow on the back streets of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India. Being sacred to Hindus, cows roam freely everywhere in this country. I like how the shadow plays in the photo, and how this particularly cow seems to be "smiling" at the little girl to the left.
It wouldn't let me post the bit.ly URL here, so here's the full link:

(Sorry, wasn't sure how to post the photo in this post itself.)

In Kouré Park outside Niamey, Niger, we saw these two male giraffes fighting. Giraffes fight by swinging their necks and hitting the opponent's body with their heads. It's slow and hilarious and if we fought wars like this, everyone would have gone home for tea by now.

I'm not sure if insects count as "wildlife" but this was taken in an amazing butterfly sanctuary on the island of Bohol in the Philippines.

My wife and I have been traveling through Peru for two months now and are committed to four more. I need more outlets for my photography and this seems like a great one.

Fantastic, thanks Robert. Would you mind adding a 1-2 sentence caption? Place, animal, anything else interesting about the shot.

Let me submit the komodo dragon pictures. Believed as the bigest living lizard, Komodo is one of the species in endangered list. I took this picture at Rinca Island, during my diving trip at Komodo National Park, Flores, Indonesia.

Hey all, I've started compiling the photo essay, but am still short several pictures. Please keep posting if you have anything to share!
Once again, I'm looking for photos clearly showing wildlife of any sort, and especially if it's on a scenic background.
Thanks again everyone! :) This will be the first Matador Photography collaboration.

You're welcome to use any of the following. My matador ID and flickr ID are the same.
This male ivory-billed woodpecker along with a few of his friends were tearing up a copse of trees near the campsite one morning in Tolhuaca National Park in the Araucanía region (south) of Chile.
Guanacos are pretty much the only living thing that occasionally dots the mostly barren landscape in Tierra del Fuego. They're quite shy, but we seem to have caught this small group by surprise. Outside of Ushuaia, Argentina.
For these flamingoes at Laguna Chaxa in northern Chile near San Pedro de Atacama, being awake when it's this early and this cold is part of a normal day. For the humans it was a real struggle.
These king penguins at Volunteer Point in the Falkland Islands had changed their mind about being in the water, and couldn't wait to get back out.

Thanks so much everyone for all your submissions. I have what I need for the Photo Essay and am looking to post it next Friday. If I didn't choose your photo, please don't take it personally, it's not a reflection on the quality of your photograph, just more on what I was looking for specifically.
I will post the link here. This is the first of what I hope are more Matador Photography collaborations!
In the meantime, feel free to post suggestions/ideas for future Matador Photography group photo essays.
Cheers,
Carlo
