Show off your sunset through Manhattan's streets! What's happening around it? Just add your takes of Manhattanhenge. Might there be something more interesting than firing into the setting ball of fire?
- How about some nice views looking down east though the streets?
- Are there interesting places which otherwise get never a stroke by the sun?
- What about the people?

About Manhattanhenge 2011On May 30th and July 13, visit 42nd Street at sundown for one of the best views of Manhattanhenge. The setting sun aligns precisely with the Manhattan street grid, creating a radiant glow of light across Manhattan's street canyons, simultaneously illuminating both the north and south sides of every cross street. On these two days, half of the sun disk sits above and half below the horizon in Jersey City and can be seen even from Roosevelt Island! |
