About Malham Peregrine Watch
This is the Flickr related group for the 'A Date With Nature' Malham Peregrine Watch.
This group is open for everyone to join who is interested in the Malham Peregrines, Malham Cove & the nature of Malham.
The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) and the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority (YDNPA) run the ‘A Date With Nature’ scheme. It's one of many projects the RSPB are promoting across the country to give people the chance to get close to birds.
Wardens and volunteers from both the RSPB and YDNPA will be present at Malham Cove every day from April until the end of August to show visitors some of the exciting birds that can be found in the Yorkshire Dales.
Peregrines died out and were absent from Malham Cove during the sixties. They have only returned to the Cove since 1993.
The current peregrines have been established on site as a pair for the last five years. They currently have two juveniles.
The Malham Peregrine Watch will be present from 10.30am until 4.30pm everyday (weather permitting) from 1st April until 30th August 2010.
