hi everyone!
I just wanted to take a moment to tell you about a project we've put together for World Usability Day.
(apologies for any cross posting and project promotion content below - it's for a good cause tho!)
We're going out into the world (and occasionally to our screens) to tag good and bad experiences/usability with a red balloon and documenting them by photographing them, and posting them to our Flickr Group (http://flickr.com/groups/makinglifeeasy/) .
From there we'll be blogging them at www.makinglifeeasy.org and having a vote to see what makes it into our Usability Hall of Fame or Hall of Shame - inductees to be announced on World Usability Day.
You've already got a great collection of experiences good, bad and interesting here, so perhaps you have some you think are worthy of the hall of Fame/Shame?!
This is a short term project ending 14 November 2006 (World Usability Day) with the objective of creating a bit of a buzz and some awareness around the importance of design/usability in our everyday environment and to help spread the news bad design (and resultant bad usability) is not good enough!
email us if you have any questions (hello [at] makinglifeeasy.org) we'd love to see you get involved! :)
