About Make it a Mega Shot
Check out our parent group Mega Shot
.
The goal of this forum is to create a friendly community, where everybody feels at home. We would like you to give and receive thoughtful feedbacks, which would help us all to improve upon your work. The primary reason for this community's existence is to unconditionally help, support, and encourage one another. It's a place to slow down and take a few minutes to really look at the photos and find out what is working and what could be done better. It's a place to discover new ways of seeing and approaching your subjects both before and after clicking the shutter. It's a place to teach and learn.
This is not a good forum for posting photos in the pool in the hopes of gaining views, faves, awards, or invites -- although that may happen. :-) Please feel free to post at most two photos a day for which you would like feedback and/or constructive criticism. We also ask that you actively participate in the discussion forums especially if you post photos.
All serious discussion of photos typically takes place in the discussion threads. While any member can start a discussion on any photo in the pool, To get feedback on your own images the best way is to start a discussion thread and contribute to discussions on the photos of others. When it comes to offering feedback, you do not have to be an "expert" . Everyone has one very invaluable gift to offer: their unique impression and view of the photos that are posted for feedback. We encourage you to participate in the discussion threads, even if you have not posted photos of your own, or you are a beginner.
So, please join if you are like-minded and would like to improve your photographic skills and are willing to help others by sharing your impressions of their work.

General guidelines for submitting images for discussion are in the FEEDBACK GUIDELINES. Visit You and Your Gear to introduce yourself to the group and learn a bit about our members
.
Our sister group, Mega Shot will be the inspirational group where great photography will be recognized and Mega Shots will be decided.
Again, we would like our member friends, to support one another and comment on the photos in the pool. If you would like to do that, please use the code below.

The result of our first portrait edit challenge, for money and fame:
You may remember our portrait edit challenge HERE. There was an enthusiastic participation and over 130 edits in color and B+W were presented. The first round of voting was fun and it was done HERE. Many of you participated and top 10 color edits and top 10 B+W edits were chosen through your vote. We then asked 10 independent judges, some of the most accomplished artists and portrait photographers, to pick their winners in each category and they did. You may find the list of judges, HERE These judges had no idea who the edits belonged to.
It was very challenging for the judges to make a choice as these edits were all skillfully done. At the end, there was a clear winner and it went to the color category. We are so very happy to announce that the winner was no other than Ann, ahuntingwwgo who has been one of our most diligent and hard working friend and member at MIMS, Male it a Mega Shot group. Congratulations Ann and best of luck to you.
The first image is the original image which was supplied by our friend Saquan Stimpson, Monstershaq2000 and the second image, is the winning edit.
