About Magic Lantern

Magic Lantern is an open platform for developing enhancements to the amazing Canon 5D Mark II, 550D/T2i, 60D and 500D digital SLRs, especially for video. What is less-known is that ML also offers a lot of features for photos, too.

This group attempts to fill this gap by focusing on stills capabilities of Magic Lantern.

- Trap focus
- Remote release with LCD sensor or audio trigger
- Very long exposures (up to 8 hours)
- Flash exposure compensation (-10EV...+3EV)
- Auto mirror lockup (coupled with self-timer)
- Exposure bracketing
- Focus stacking
- Motion detection (fast enough to catch lightning)

Features common to photo and video:
- All exposure helpers (zebra, false color, spotmeter)
- Focus tools for manual lenses (focus peaking, magic zoom)
- Intervalometer,
- Zoom enabled on face detection mode,
- Fine control for ISO, shutter, white balance and other settings
