About the Madison, Wisconsin Flickr Group

We want to see photos of Madison, Wisconsin! We want photos that capture of the real heart and soul of Madtown; photos that emphasize the beauty and splendor of the Madison area, as well as chronicle the happenings in and around the city. There is a lot to see and do in Madison and this group is dedicated to showing all that Madison has to offer. However, just because a photograph is taken in Madison, it is does not mean it qualifies to be inserted into this group. Please concentrate on submitting photographs ABOUT Madison.

The Madison, Wisconsin group includes many fine photographers. The group maintains a friendly atmosphere of critique and commentary. We encourage helpful, friendly discussion and we hope to foster a community that is as much fun as it is informative.


What Goes and What Stays?

Please see the group description above. While we all enjoy fine photographs, we ask that your submissions stay on topic. Yes, we love to visit places like Mount Horeb and New Glarus, but they really aren't Madison, Wisconsin are they? Also, we encouage the submissioin of portraits if they are related in some way to the City of Madison. If they are not they will be removed.

This group is heavily curated. Photographs will be removed without explanation. Please do not take this personally. This is a common practice on Flickr. We simply do not have the time to let everyone know why their photograph was removed in each specific case. However, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to send us an E-mail any time.
