São Paulo, (AE) - As câmeras fotográficas digitais - tradicionais ou em celulares - estão em toda parte: nas ruas, no ônibus, no metrô, no avião, no restaurante, na balada, no colégio ou na faculdade e até em ambientes de trabalho. Não há dúvida, nunca se fotografou tanto como hoje. Assim como, jamais se mostrou tanto o que se clica. Por fim, em tempo algum o fotógrafo foi tão protagonista de suas próprias imagens. Esses dois últimos exemplos, por sinal, são uma clara cortesia da internet e suas múltiplas redes de relacionamento.

Alguns pesquisadores, como o indiano Ramesh Raskar do MediaLab, laboratório de mídia do Instituto de Tecnologia de Massachusetts (MIT, na sigla em inglês), nos EUA, um dos principais centros da vanguarda mundial de pesquisa em novas tecnologias, têm se dedicado ao estudo do tema. Para Raskar, o que estamos testemunhando é o surgimento de uma "cultura da câmera" (camera culture, em inglês).

Raskar defende que não se trata apenas de uma mera expansão quantitativa das imagens. O fato novo é o relacionamento entre as pessoas, mediado pela internet e baseado cada vez mais no registro e no desejo de se consumir imagens.

O digital mudou tudo - ou quase - na fotografia. "A fotografia extrapolou suas fronteiras com o digital. E o mercado expandiu de tal forma que hoje todo mundo tem interesse nesse assunto", observa Duda Escobar, show manager da PhotoImage Brazil, maior evento do setor da América Latina, que começou ontem (11) em São Paulo.

É preciso experimentar - De um jeito ou de outro, a boa notícia é que não importa qual a câmera que você tem ou pretende comprar. Ela é capaz de tirar boas fotos. A opinião é do pelo renomado fotógrafo Klaus Mitteldorf, que costuma tirar belas fotos até com os seus celulares, e ao idealizador e curador-geral do tradicional Prêmio Porto Seguro de Fotografia, Cildo Oliveira, que sempre se preocupou em abrir espaço para novas plataformas de pesquisa da imagem na premiação (neste ano as fotos feitas com celulares ganharam uma categoria própria).

Para você acertar no clique, preparamos um guia com dicas simples que podem ajudá-lo nesta missão. A primeira - e talvez mais importante dica - é: tire muitas fotos, muitas mesmo. Experimente todos os ajustes e opções de comandos que encontrar na máquina e observe atentamente aos resultados deles. Em suma, explore e exercite seu olhar.

É claro que uma câmera mais sofisticada trará mais recursos e, com eles, mais possibilidades. Mas isso não quer dizer que ela é garantia de uma boa foto. "O bom fotógrafo é aquele que sabe usar o seu equipamento, seja ele de boa ou má qualidade", pondera Mitteldorf.
