Monday, February 21st: "Spices and seasonings"

Hey Gang

Awesome e super creative job with the Metaphor challenge. I know it was not the easiest one but you guys nailed!!!

It was brought to our attention how lately we had a lot of challenging abstract themes. So to break this cycle we decided to have a more concrete approach for this week theme..

This week challenge is to bring to life in a macro fashion anything related with "Spices and seasonings". Extra points for those that can bring to the table (literally and figuratively) more creative ways to showcase these incredible multi-sensory "things" we all have in our kitchens.

A huge thank you to DeForestRanger (CROW) for suggesting this week theme.

As usual, and little bit more "spicy" than usual... GAME ON GANG

Hi turquoise: I found this on the 'net: Spices are made of plant matter, such as pepper (from peppercorns) or nutmeg (from the seed of the nutmeg tree.) . Seasonings include spices, but also include other things used to flavor food. Salt, for example, is a seasoning, but not a spice. in the same way, Worcestershire sauce, which is made in part from anchovies, is a seasoning, but not a spice. Spices come from plants. So, technically speaking, pepper is a spice, but salt isn't. Both are seasonings, however.

Hey, did macro mondays changed from 5 posts to 2 posts? I am puzzled when they said 2 posts only and I read comments and can not find anywhere that mention the change.

I know others including myseld suggested that. When it happened?

Thanks
