About Macro Filter
This group is for creative photographers who love shooting macros and close-ups.
The challenges in macro/close-up stem from this problem: when you look closely at anything, it is easy to be awed by the details. The appeal of macro images are all too often based on the visible hairs on a bees leg, or the individual grains of pollen on a flower. It is usually less about the photographer's perception of the subject, and more about the camera's ability to capture a tiny subject.
This group is focused on just the opposite! The images here will be heavily moderated: preference will be given to those that show a flare of creativity, conceptualization, originality, and style. This is, of course, very subjective and based on moderators' whims and preferences.
All styles are welcomed! While it is unlikely that the typical image of a bee on a flower will make it to the pool, it is welcomed for you to try! The immediate subject matter is not so important as your own take on it, and I expect there will be good bug/floral photos in the pool.
So, post away!
