About London Underground Tube Station Entrances
Photos of the facades of and entrances to the stations that constitute the London Underground \'tube\' network with empthasis on architecture and the aesthetic qualities of said facades and entrances.
Looking to build a set of photos old and new, taken by flickr members or sourced from old books, documents and other webpages that demonstrate the range of designs applied to station entrances, ideally in order to construct independently an online index of each and every tube station\'s appearance from the surface, even for the ones with no significant construction on the surface e.g Old Street. This can include old photos of stations that no longer exist or have become disused e.g Ongar.
Ideally the photos added here will either capture the sense of scale of the station\'s facades and/or entrance in relation to the roads they are located on and the surrounding area, or focus on architectural details via zoom.
Photos of other details such as the trains, station interiors, ticket halls, platforms, incidents, staff and passengers should NOT be added here (unless coincidentally part of the photo featuring the station entrance as it\'s main focus) but to the larger London Tube group. Many thanks! Now help me complete this project!
