02 Nov 09 - Above Mary Brownless, a noted traditional English watercolourist resident at Old Town Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, prepares for her latest show at the Mini Gallery in the Mahone Bay Nursing Home on Main Street. Paintings will be on display there throughout November. She is concurrently showing at the South Shore Gallery in the Bridgewater hospital.

About Lunenburg, Nova Scotia Fine Art"Fine Art" is defined here in the traditional sense, implying some training, study and practice and an understanding of the history and rules of the underlying craft. That excludes folk art which is the province of "the folk." This group is further intended to showcase Nova Scotian painters and delineators and embrace all mediums, styles and opinions. Lunenburg County practitioners are particularly invited to join but "come-from-aways" are also welcomed. |
