16 Feb 08 - Hi. Just a reminder about what Lunar Landscapes is for--it's for close-ups of the Moon showing significant surface detail (this implies four-digit focal lengths at least, unless you're in lunar orbit ;). I removed a lot of full-disc moon photos, not because I don't like them, but because they don't fit the group.

About Lunar Landscapes

Telescopic photographs of the Moon showing our celestial neighbor's hills, craters, and maria.

This is not the place for full-disc moon shots or Earth landscapes with the moon hanging in the sky--those are fine photo ideas and there are plenty of groups where they are welcome, but in Lunar Landscapes we're looking for photos that make you feel like you're hanging in space, flying over the Moon.

If you can see a significant fraction of the moon's disc, you're not using enough magnification.
