About Luigi Snozzi and the architecture from Tessin, Switzerland

Luigi Snozzi is one of the most influential architect, city planner and teachers in Tessin, Switzerland. He was born in 1932 in Mendrisio in Swizerland and began his work at the end of the 1950ths with opening his office in Locarno. He studied with his friend Livio Vacchini and Aurelio Galfetti at the ETH Zürich. His most discussed work is his long time developing of the small towm Monte Carasso. Building is for him a public case and he has a deep respect for the history of the terretory and he seems to be driven by an intense will for an contemporary architectural approach that stands in an sensitive dialog to the existing context.
This group has the aim to collect pictures of his work and of the work of his fellow architects he worked with so long in Tessin.
