About electriCity (formerly Low Light Lowlife)

Similar in style to the many street-based groups on Flickr, this group deals with the same observations, interactions, moments, and cinematic scenes of urban life lived in public, except captured without the use of sunlight. Quality low light street portraits are cool too.
The group will be fairly tightly curated to ensure a high quality pool, so here are some guidelines as to what might NOT be included.
No private locations.
Realistically, in many parts of the world these days, the definition between public and private space, and indoor and outdoor is somewhat blurred, so use your discretion here. Some indoor situations are ok, as long as it is a public location. If you can get away with taking top-quality candids in shopping centres and restaurants without getting thrown out by security, then fair enough.
No flash photography "mugshots" or fashion shoots
That means only taken using available light, such as that from fluorescent lights, streetlights, shop windows, neon signs, car foglamps, searchlights, mobile phone screen, headtorches...you name it. A blend of faint natural light with artificial is ok.
UPDATE: If flash is used particualrly artistically, it might be included, but not normally.
No long exposure light-trail effects.
The emphasis is on spontaneity, and finding light sources good enough to get crisp on 1600 ASA or iso1600 without resorting to a tripod. That said, some urban scenes shot on long exposure and shot on film can be cool, but not the cheesy postcard type please.
Other shots that might not make the cut are shots with too much photoshopping, or those without a strong human element, human element might be actual people, or else a trace of their passing. Exceptions are possible, there may be some.
No restrictions in terms of Film vs Digital, Colour vs b&w or Crop dimensions.
Safe Shooting...Don't get mugged out there !
