About A Children's book takes shape.
Documenting the formation of a children's book, from the primordial creative elements of our two brains (one visual, one verbal), through the mysterious world of publishing, to the four-year-old girl giggling on the couch as she thumbs through the final product.

Please join our journey through the coming weeks and months (maximum a year) as we go from being a couple unpublished guys with no ideas to having a published children's book sitting on a shelf in book stores across the country. What a trip! Here is our blog link low-ears-no-morals.blogspot.com/
where we will document the whole process from words to pictures, thoughts and feelings, to disagreements, and what we have learned through the process.

Can we go from being idealess and pictureless to getting a children's book published? We say yes! We're two brothers who have told each other too many times: one's art and the other's words could make a killer kids' book. Now the visual brother, Phil, has moved in to the Minneapolis home of the verbal brother, Steve. The time for excuses has passed and the intent of this blog and posting pictures on Flickr is to help us stay on track. As we get closer to fruition, we have the modestly grand hope that it can also serve as inspiration to others whose creative muse needs a kick in the pants. So here we are, hiding in the basement on a steamy day in late July, trying to herd the disparate plot and picture ideas of the last three years into a single concept.
