About Louisville Strobist
Welcome to the Louisville Strobist group!
Louisville Strobist is designed to be a local resource from the main Flickr Strobist group:
www.flickr.com/groups/strobist/
and the Strobist Blog.
The Strobist idea is to strive to improve your photography with the use of off-camera flash. This can be done with any type of off camera lighting source but will be focused more around the use of speedlights and various light modifiers. If you're unfamiliar with the use of off camera flash, then hop on over to the Strobist blog, and start reading the section entitled Lighting 101. You'll be glad you did!

Rules: ...alas, there always has to be rules
1. All photos submitted to the group must be photos taken with off camera flash. On camera flash is ok as long as it is used only as fill (or to trigger other flashes) and not the primary source. If a photo is submitted to the group that was not taken with off camera flash, it will be deleted. Repeated attempts will get the contributor banned from the group.
2. Include your lighting details in either the photo's description, or in the first comment, but preferably in the description. The lighting details should include: the number of lights and type used, placement of the lights, how they were triggered, etc. Remember, this is a group for learning, so please share your experience with others.
3. Only 3 photos posted to the group per day.
4. As much as it kills me to say this (in some cases), no nudity is allowed. Partial nudity is ok, provided that it is done tastefully. This group is meant to be a learning resource and many people may want to participate while on public and/or work computers, so please keep it clean. If you have artistic nudes done with off camera flash and want to share them, check out the Strobist 18+ group.
5. Tag your photos submitted to the group with "LouisvilleStrobist" ---all one word.
6. This is not a rule but more of a recommendation. If you upload a photo to the group, please take the time to comment on another photo already in the group. You will get more out of the group by participation than by just posting and leaving!
7. Invite your friends from the area to join the group and share their experiences.
Please don't post pics to this group unless you are from the Louisville, Kentucky area.
Thanks and have fun!!!
