About The Lotus Garden in NYC

This pool is for photos taken in the Lotus Garden at West 97th Street. This pool was created by and for friends of the garden, and is independent of the garden's organization. We welcome all participants; join by mentioning your interest or connection to the garden. Any questions about this Flickr pool, please email any admin or directly lotusgardennyc@gmail.com.

From the official garden website page www.thelotusgarden.org/index.htm:

The Lotus Garden is a community garden — and community of gardeners — on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, 20 feet above West 97th Street. Located on the roof of a garage; the 1/6th of an acre garden is a unique, beautiful, urban oasis that is maintained by 28 gardeners and other volunteers.

The garden is open to the public every Sunday afternoon from April through November, between 1 and 4 PM (unless it is raining heavily). All are invited to visit and experience this special place, to become a key-holder and to volunteer. (Look for the gate just to the east of the garage on the south side of West 97th Street between Broadway and West End Avenue.)
