About Lothian Buses in Harlequin Livery
In 1999, Lothian ditched their former name (Lothian Regional Transport or LRT) and changed it to Lothian Buses, they also invested in new low floor buses at this time, so they had to change their livery to make it easy for passengers to be able to indicate which bus is a low floor bus.
The traditional Madder and white livery was phased out and ended in 2009 when all buses at Lothian were low floor due to the departure of the Royales.
In March 2010 Lothian Buses announced that they were bringing back the traditional colours again for their livery and they are currently working their way through their 650 strong fleet of buses to repaint them.
This Group is an archive of all the pictures we have of the buses in the harlequin livery during their short lived period of time.
Please add any pictures whether it be past or present.
Thanks
